The mat does a good job of dissipating the heat given off by a laptop, so it is easier to work with, and allows the battery to work with a lower surrounding temperature...

I am sure it works, but it did not solve my issue with my laptop.
I returned this item. Next one I buy will be online. I have found them cheaper than any at the physical stores.

Laptop kept overheating making things lock up. Researched problem and said cooling pad would help. Got one and it seemed to correct the problem.
